Scuba is an audio device that allows a personal soundscape in various contexts through amplification of the breath. Compatible with an mp3 player, it provides a personal sound experience, inviting to slow down and follow the inner rhythm by listening to one’s self respiration. According to the pressure applied on the device, the focus changes from the surroundings to the inner sounds.

Technical Details

Scuba contains one microphone that is placed on the neck and captures the breathing. The sound is immediately amplified and played through the headphones. A soft handheld device (10X5cm) controls the ANR (active noise reduction) providing another level of isolation according to the pressure applied on it. The interaction of squeezing the device enhances the physical reaction in stressful situations and provides sense of control and dynamic sound experience.
